Role
The General Manager of the recently re-opened Aman Rosa Alpina in the Dolomites, Italy holds responsibility for the entire resort operation. Reporting to the Managing Director EMEA, the General Manager leads the team to operational excellence and delivers exceptional guest experiences, through ensuring colleagues are well informed and engaged, whilst focusing on revenues and maximising financial performance. In line with our value of Celebrating Communities, it is paramount that the General Manager is an active part of the local community.
Responsibilities
* Develops an operational strategy that is aligned with the Aman Group business strategy and leads its execution. Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy.
* Keeps operations teams focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results; makes and executes key decisions to keep property moving forward towards achievement of goals.
* Champions the Aman vision for product and service delivery and ensures alignment amongst the property Leadership team.
* Is highly visible and interfaces with guests on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.
* Creates appropriate development plans and develops colleagues based on their individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations and abilities. Ensures the same is done for all managers in the property.
* Suggests innovative marketing ideas to gain market share.
* Ensures operations team has a sales strategy with challenging goals and motivates individuals to achieve these goals and maximize performance.
Requirements
* You are an experienced leader with a strong background in managing small to mid-size ultra-luxury resorts.
* You are a strong operational, highly organised leader who is visible in the business and enjoys interacting with guests and our colleagues. You will be skilled at building relationships with external stakeholders.
* In addition to a deep understanding of luxury, you are a strategic thinker, adept at identifying growth opportunities and fostering innovation. You will possess strong commercial and financial acumen to ensure top and bottom-line performance and act with integrity.
* You are a charismatic ambassador for the property, setting the highest standards of personal presentation and can uphold the reputation of the property through a quality-driven, guest-focused approach.
* You have a proven track record as a leader in ultra-luxury hospitality operations and have demonstrated success in leading teams and working with external stakeholders.
* You have a bachelor's degree in hospitality or other relevant discipline.
* You are fluent in both Italian and English.
