We are looking for a Firmware & API Developer to join our R&D Hardware team, supporting embedded firmware development and interfacing with the software team through robust and high-performance APIs.The successful candidate will work on complex embedded systems with real-time operating systems, contributing to the technological evolution of our distributed monitoring products.Your role
Development and maintenance of APIs for interfacing between hardware and software application layerEmbedded firmware development on RTOS platforms (ThreadX)Develop C/C++ PC applications for firmware and hardware testing, debugging, and validationCreation of tools for data management and collection, implementation of test protocolsManage the communication and integration between firmware and software systemsCollaboration with the hardware team to optimize system performanceFirmware debugging and testing on embedded targetsTechnical documentation of APIs, communication protocols, and firmware architecturesSupport to the software team in the integration of developed APIs
Your experience
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalentProven experience in embedded firmware developmentStrong knowledge of C and C++ for both embedded and desktop/PC applicationsExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), preferably ThreadXPython knowledge for API developmentAbility to develop testing tools and applications for firmware/hardware validationFamiliarity with ARM Cortex architectures and STM32 microcontrollersExperience using debugging tools (JTAG, embedded debuggers)Knowledge of main communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CAN)Experience with Xilinx FPGAs (Zynq)Knowledge of API frameworks (REST, gRPC)Experience with version control systems (Git)Knowledge of signal processing techniques applied to monitoring systemsExperience in industrial or critical infrastructure environmentsAbility to work in multidisciplinary teams (hardware, firmware, software, mechanics)Problem-solving and analytical aptitudeGood communication skills to interface with different technical stakeholdersProactivity and autonomy in activity managementPassion for technological innovation.
