This role is crucial to our operations, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products to customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective raw materials and components sourcing. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing. Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and long-term partnerships. Resolve any supply chain issues or disruptions promptly and effectively. Monitor MP cost increases and support any resulting commercial actions. Maintain the Supplier Register (including the criticality and performance values) Evaluate the performance of current suppliers and implement corrective actions. Renegotiate/define new supply contracts with suppliers, price lists, and minimum/maximum order amounts, and find alternatives where necessary (strategic purchases). Analyse Megatron's suppliers, and for each item, select at least three suppliers, defining the first and second choice among the three. Monitor the correctness of the Megatron code/Supplier code/Description correspondence. Ensure that each purchase order line is associated with the corresponding delivery date confirmed by the supplier. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise excess or obsolete inventory. Implement inventory tracking systems to ensure the accuracy and availability of materials. Conduct regular inventory audits and analyse data to forecast future inventory needs. Logistics: Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products. Manage shipping and receiving processes, including international shipments and customs documentation. Optimise logistics operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation for procurement, inventory, and logistics activities. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the supply chain.
