Senior Growth Strategist


About Somcommerce

Somcommerce is a performance marketing agency partnering with some of the most ambitious startups in the world - spanning eCommerce, B2B software, and consumer apps. We currently manage in excess of $8M in monthly media spend on behalf of our clients, who range from Y Combinator-backed startups to enterprise teams including Whop and Replit.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Growth Strategist to lead a portfolio of client accounts, define paid acquisition strategy, and serve as the strategic counterpart to our media buying and creative functions.


This is a client-facing, strategy-led role. The successful candidate will not execute media buying directly. Instead, they will be responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring KPI delivery, and orchestrating cross-functional execution across media, creative, and operations.


Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership

* Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for a portfolio of 6–10 client accounts.
* Lead weekly strategy calls, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing client communications.
* Manage client relationships with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and commercial growth.
* Anticipate risks, manage expectations, and resolve escalations with professionalism.


Paid Acquisition Strategy

* Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly growth plans tailored to each client's business objectives.
* Translate commercial goals into integrated media and creative strategies across Meta, Google, and TikTok.
* Partner with media buyers to refine targeting, budget allocation, bid strategy, and scaling roadmaps.
* Advise clients on offer structure, funnel design, landing page optimization, and end-to-end customer journey.


Creative Strategy

* Provide data-led and insight-driven creative direction to internal creative teams.
* Develop messaging frameworks, hooks, and angles informed by market research and performance data.
* Brief creative teams with precision and manage iteration cycles to identify and scale top-performing assets.


Reporting & Analysis

* Produce weekly and monthly performance reports that combine platform data, UTM tracking, and attribution insights into a clear strategic narrative.
* Surface opportunities, inefficiencies, and recommended next steps tied directly to client KPIs (CAC, MER, ROAS, LTV).


Internal Coordination

* Partner with media buyers, creative teams, and operations to ensure flawless execution against client deliverables.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal SOPs, reporting standards, and communication workflows.


Candidate Profile

* 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth strategy, or strategic account management, ideally within an agency or high-growth startup environment.
* Demonstrable expertise in paid acquisition across Meta, TikTok, and Google. While the role does not require day-to-day execution, the candidate must be capable of evaluating execution quality at a senior level.
* Experience working across multiple verticals (eCommerce, SaaS, or consumer apps) is strongly preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading senior client relationships.
* Proven ability to translate complex performance data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
* High standards of ownership, accountability, and project management.
* Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
