From Day 1 you are empowered to make a difference for a better tomorrow with your full potential and creativity.Your ChallengeAs a Service & Project Engineer, you will be introduced to commissioning, service, and project execution activities related to port cranes, working in close collaboration with experienced engineers and project teams.This role is designed for engineers at the early stage of their professional career, offering a structured learning path, hands‐on site experience, and continuous technical development in the field of port and crane automation.Main Activities
Participate in on‐site commissioning activities of port cranes (e.g. STS, RTG, RMG), supported by senior engineersSupport testing, integration, and troubleshooting of crane automation systemsAssist in configuration and basic tuning of PLC, drive, motion control, and safety systemsContribute to installation, commissioning, and handover phases of port automation projectsSupport corrective and preventive maintenance activities during operationAssist in the analysis of technical issues and support root cause investigationsWork closely with project managers, engineering teams, and customers on siteApply Siemens safety, quality, and technical standards in all activitiesContinuously develop technical and professional skills through training and on‐the‐job learning
Required entry qualifications
Degree or technical diploma in Automation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)Initial experience or strong interest in industrial automation, commissioning, or service activitiesBasic knowledge of PLC programming, drive and motion control systems and industrial automation fundamentalsInterest in port automation, cranes, and heavy industrial applicationsWillingness to work on site in an operational and industrial environmentGood knowledge of Italian and EnglishProactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learnTeam‐oriented mindset and good communication skillsEligibility to work in Italy
