IB Biology and ESS Teacher
**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and qualified IB Biology and ESS teacher to contribute to our school's ongoing success and growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom practice, a positive and collaborative attitude, and a willingness to support the wider life of the school.
**Responsibilities/Duties**:
• Prepare short, medium, and long-term plans as required;
• Teach High School as per your timetable or cover timetable;
• Use knowledge of students' backgrounds, skills, needs, and interests to plan for groups of students;
• Plan classes and units with aims/outcomes offering valuable learning suitable for all students in the classroom;
**Teaching and Learning**:
• Work with the DSL and Well-being Leader to take responsibility for the pastoral care of students in accordance with school policies;
• Support the Middle and High School Principal in monitoring the quality of teaching and students' achievement and in developing links with parents of students and participating in school events;
**Skills and Qualifications**:
• Experience teaching the IB program;
• Experience in international education;
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders;
• Willingness to be an active participant in our collaborative process;
• Proven ability to develop and deliver successful academic programs;
• Willingness to work in a multicultural environment;
• Native speaker level in written and spoken English;
• High level of communication, teaching, and presentation skills;
• Master degree in Biology/Science or equivalent;
• Teaching certification;
• Experience with IB Biology required;
• Experience with IB ESS preferred;
• Experience with pastoral care preferred;
• Strong ICT skills;
• Ability to differentiate lessons to a variety of learning styles and ability levels;
• High level of time management skills;
• Ability to maintain appropriate standards of discipline in the classroom;
• Ability to show initiative and contribute to the mission and vision of the school;
