OverviewIn this role you lead physical security across Milan-area data centers for AWS, shaping how security operations sustain continuous service availability. You work within a security‑team, ensuring a robust security posture and compliant practices across sites and vendors. You will leverage data and metrics to improve procedures and respond decisively to incidents, collaborating with cross‑functional teams. This is a hands‑on leadership position at a global cloud provider, offering exposure to large‑scale security operations and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day physical security operations across multiple sites
- Maintain and improve site security posture and procedures
- Manage contract security guard vendors and guidance to on‑site officers
- Ensure access control systems and badge logistics are functioning
- Investigate security events via alarm and CCTV systems
- Coordinate with Security Operation Center during incidents
- Analyze processes with data/metrics to identify improvements
- Perform security inspections, audits and investigations as required
- Travel to other geographies as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a similar security role
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, xlwpduy Word
- 3+ years of experience using data/metrics to improve processes or customer satisfaction
- Ability to work in an international environment and travel for business
- On-call availability for emergencies (remote and on-site)
- English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel to Data Centers in Italy and abroad
- Current driving license valid in Italy
