Position: Legal Data Scientist – Legal Domain
Mission: To enrich, manage, and enhance our internal legal databases.
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team dedicated to data cleaning, enriching legal databases, and collaborating with lawyers. The ideal candidate should have an interest in the legal sector, with a degree in Law (Laurea in Giurisprudenza) or experience in legal data projects / legal-tech.
The selected candidate will be part of the team responsible for maintaining, managing, and improving our internal legal databases. They will independently navigate legal complexities, search for and collect relevant data, perform initial cleaning and analysis, and prepare data for proper uploading and integration into our databases. The candidate should be able to analyze, understand, and interpret legal norms, jurisprudence, and administrative documents.
Minimum requirements:
1. Degree in Law (advanced training or equivalent experience is a plus)
2. Ability to work autonomously on data collection, cleaning, and documentation
3. Good familiarity with Excel and/or other data analysis tools and spreadsheets
Optional (considered strong plus):
1. Basic experience with Python for data analysis and manipulation (pandas, scikit-learn, regression, classification)
2. Master's or specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence
3. Previous experience in legal tech or at law firms with technological innovation projects
4. Stimulating, young, and interdisciplinary environment
5. Direct involvement in innovative legal-tech projects
6. Collaboration with jurists, data engineers, and product designers in a multidisciplinary team
7. Technical mentorship, continuous training, and clear pathways for professional growth
8. Growth paths towards roles like Legal Data Lead
