Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Group RDQ Packaging Sustainability and Compliance Sr Specialist Date: Apr 16, 2025 Location: Lainate, IT, 20020 Main purpose of the role What you will do Partner with Local or Group Regulatory Affairs to provide technical support in interpreting regulations or assessing Green Claims related to packaging sustainability; Drive the compliance assessment of the packaging portfolio and recommend projects to proactively address relevant sustainability compliance issues; Align with Packaging Development leads to coordinate the execution of the sustainable projects pipeline and New Product Developments across manufacturing countries; Coordinate and execute specific sustainability and compliance projects/activities, liaising with Packaging Development teams at manufacturing plants and Local Marketing in importing countries; Research and monitor external technical developments, guidelines, and requirements (e.g., retailer standards, voluntary schemes), translating these inputs into operational tools for Packaging Development teams; Support the development and implementation of internal policies, guidelines, and procedures to streamline packaging sustainability and compliance processes, including trainings and communications; Foster a culture of sustainability through organizational communication and education; Participate in relevant associations and forums. Our Perfect Candidate Graduate in scientific fields, ideally Chemistry, Material Sciences, or related disciplines with specialization in Packaging Materials and Technologies; Minimum 5 years of experience in Packaging Development; experience in the Food Industry handling packaging sustainability is a plus; Good knowledge of environmental science, circular economy principles, sustainable packaging, ecodesign, recycling processes, and Design for Recyclability guidelines, along with industry trends; Excellent understanding of major legal and voluntary packaging sustainability compliance frameworks; Curious, dynamic, and agile in dealing with ambiguity and multiple inputs, with the ability to recognize patterns and relationships; Strong communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written, capable of conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Good negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders; Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment; Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects and set priorities; Highly motivated, critical thinker, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change.
