Ph3Senior Export Compliance Manager, AWS Compliance Security Assurance /h3 pAmazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its global presence. We are looking for a highly motivated Export Compliance Manager to lead our global ECCN classification program within the AWS Global Trade team. The role builds policies, processes, and automation solutions for automated compliance, engages with engineering teams to classify new technology products, and partners cross‑functionally to deliver compliance projects. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide strategic expertise on US and global export regulations and advise internal business customers on compliance program initiatives. /li liDevelop and maintain strategic ECCN classification processes and solutions to manage and evolve AWS’ global classification program. /li liDrive innovative solution requirements to further enhance and automate compliance. /li liDevelop and implement strategic compliance processes and solutions to manage and maintain export jurisdiction, classification of dual‑use items (EAR), monitor regulatory changes, create metrics for management reporting and drive process improvement and compliance implementation projects. /li liOwn leadership communications to stakeholder teams and executive leadership. /li liInnovate control mechanisms to best meet business goals and compliance requirements. /li /ul h3Day in the Life /h3 pThe Export Compliance Manager drives and scales the export classification program through innovative process and automation development. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering teams to determine export control classification of hardware, software, and technology, prioritize well, communicate clearly, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. /li li7+ years’ experience in export compliance in a global corporate environment. /li liExtensive knowledge of US export regulations including EAR ITAR. /li liExperience using SNAP‑R DECCS. /li liExperience determining export authorization requirements. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMBA or related advanced degree. /li li10+ years’ experience in export compliance in a global corporate environment. /li liExperience working with research and development teams to determine applicable export controls, classification for hardware, software, technology, and control plan implementation. /li liExperience with non‑US export regulations (EU, APAC, etc.). /li liTrack record of taking ownership and driving results. /li liStrong attention to detail, and the ability to self‑start and self‑motivate. /li liExperience in working with technology and automation to develop innovative solutions. /li liAbility to mine and analyze data for reporting. /li liAbility to travel as needed. /li /ul h3Compensation Benefits /h3 pBase pay ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location factors and may vary. Equity, sign‑on payments, and other compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
