Description
The position will report to the Head of OEM EMEA Engineering PT and will have an international reach.
In the assigned regions, the candidate will develop major Power Transmission engineering projects, cooperating closely with OEM customers but also with Distribution and End Users.
Business development will be a primary focus, through the application of Megadyne standard products and customised solutions.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
* Promote new products and applications on the market
* Scout markets for new customers/applications with a proactive approach
* Work in symbiosis with external sales teams
* Very good knowledge of Megadyne Power Transmission products and their technical characteristics
* Ability to develop new custom-made products by interacting internally with R&D/Process Engineering/Quality
* Creation of feasibility requests and interface with Pricing office and Customer Service
* Follow up and support of applications after delivery to customers and management of quality issues
* Preparation and use of presentation material for customer workshops and training for sales colleagues
* Support Marketing department for creation of technical literature
* Visit trade fairs and scout for applications/customers
Qualifications
* Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent
* Good spoken and written English
* Availability to travel abroad
* +5 years of previous experience in belting industry
* Data driven, predictable, disciplined and structured approach
* Ability to create empathic discussions with customers and develop projects from initial design, sampling and final production stage
