Overview
As a Marine Laundry Equipment Technician in our Lifecycle Services Division, you will be responsible for executing and supervising service interventions on board ships, with a focus on ALMACO’s professional laundry.
This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong organization skills, and a customer‑oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct onboard visits to evaluate technical issues and assist customers in clearly expressing their needs.
* Coordinate with Maintenance Coordinators to plan and prepare service interventions.
* Perform maintenance and service tasks on ALMACO’s professional laundry systems installed on board, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
* Provide onboard training to crew and maintenance staff for safe and proper use of laundry equipment.
* Support Spare Parts and Product Divisions with technical feedback and collaboration.
* Contribute to the improvement and expansion of Lifecycle Services tools, including maintenance kit databases, installation kits, digital documentation, reports, and planning tools.
Requirements
* Mechanical / Electrical diploma or equivalent technical education.
* Solid hands‑on experience in maintaining professional laundry systems installed on board cruise ships, including washers, dryers, ironing and pressing equipment, and related automated handling setups.
* Communicative level of English, both spoken and written.
* Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Customer service focus with problem‑solving ability.
* Familiarity with quality standards and maintenance procedures.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.
