Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of projects related to the construction and installation of electrical systems for new and existing buildings and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion. Identify and procure materials, equipment, and labor required for projects. Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and vendors. Ensure projects comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including Health and Safety regulations. Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to meet project requirements and address issues. Manage work quality and ensure projects meet or exceed customer expectations. Identify and mitigate project risks, taking corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Manage project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control. Lead and manage the project team, including task assignment, guidance, and performance evaluation. Conduct regular project reviews and implement improvements. Monitor project progress to ensure scope, time, and budget adherence. Provide technical support and training to team members. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and project management best practices. Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to foster business growth. Oversee project aftercare and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates and reports. Improve project management processes and implement efficient systems and procedures. Qualifications : HNC, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in project management, electrical engineering, or related field (or equivalent). SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification (or equivalent). IOSH Certificate in managing Health and Safety (or equivalent). Valid Driver's License. Project management certification (e.g., APMP from APM). Significant experience managing electrical power distribution projects, especially in energy or utility sectors. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Knowledge & Skills : In-depth knowledge of HV/LV cable laying, switchgear installation, cable jointing, and commissioning. Ability to interpret complex requirements and communicate risks effectively. Excellent organizational, time management, and forward planning skills. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Effective decision-making skills under pressure. Self-motivated, focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to coordinate site activities and ensure safety compliance. Strong understanding of commercial terms and project impact. Proficiency with Microsoft Project and other relevant software. Experience : Leading complex electrical projects and applying project management methodologies and safety standards. Delivering projects aligned with customer needs and expectations. Managing budgets and controlling project costs. Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on site.
