\nFor the voestalpine Böhler Welding Arc Technology Srl based in Cittadella (PD) of voestalpine Böhler Welding we are looking for: LEAD BUYER Electronics & Components (m/f/d)\n
The Lead Buyer works within the Sourcing department and is a key figure for the Purchasing Team, which he/she will join. This figure is a strategic purchaser for one or more groups (or subgroups) of products assigned.
\n
The Lead Buyer’s objectives include:
\n
\n
- the strategic management of assigned product groups aimed at maximizing overall value for the group, strengthening purchasing power and considering the total cost of ownership (i.e. price, quality, delivery performance, risk profile, innovation, safety, sustainability). Specifically, the Lead Buyer will manage procurement categories related to welding equipment production, with a primary focus on electronic components, assembly groups but also on mechanical components, plastics, etc.;

- the implementation and execution of strategic purchasing processes for the assigned product groups, with a particular focus on alignment with the functional procurement strategy and efficient and effective execution.
\n
\nTasks and responsibilities
\n
- is the main point of contact for the respective suppliers with regard to commercial and contractual aspects.
\n
- develops and implements the category strategy for the assigned product groups in agreement with Global Sourcing.
\n
- manages supplier relationships, evaluates supplier performance and promotes performance improvement and supplier development initiatives.
\n
- carries out procurement activities (requests for information, evaluation of bids and clarification of discrepancies, preparation of negotiation strategies with members of the Global Sourcing team, execution and recording of negotiations, creation of contracts and preparation of the award decision taking into account quality, safety and sustainability criteria).
\n
- determines negotiation strategies in coordination with Global Sourcing (taking into account resource conservation) and acts as a negotiator.
\n
- is responsible for making framework agreements available to the Purchasing Team.
\n
- collects and analyzes data relevant to risk management and the definition and implementation of risk mitigation measures.
\n
- manages commercial aspects, namely the implementation of this procurement channel, contracts and price controls, including the timely approval of prices.
\n
\nReporting line & Governance The Lead Buyer works within the Sourcing organization in close alignment with Procurement leadership and Global Sourcing, combining operational autonomy with coordinated oversight on strategic topics to ensure alignment with the company’s procurement direction.\n
Performance orientation The role includes responsibility for delivering measurable results and maintaining key procurement performance indicators, ensuring continuous improvement across the assigned categories.

\nTechnical diploma or (preferably) degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related fields\n
7+ years’ experience, preferably within the power electronics industry or comparable technology-driven sectors
\n

\nKnowledge of English & Italian – fluent level A strategic mindset and strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, together with a practical problem‑solving approach.\n
