The FAP Educator is responsible for ensuring every member of the USAG Italy community has access to family violence education and referrals to Victim Advocacy services for victims of family violence (child abuse, spouse abuse). You shall teach FAP classes, give FAP program overviews, assist with program special events, and perform administrative services. /p h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul libEducation: Preferred bachelor's degree (from an accredited university) in one of the following fields: social science, behavioral health, health science education, community health, or public health, or experience providing community education /b /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul libValid Driver’s License /b /li liMicrosoft Office knowledge /li liEnglish Proficiency at a level 3 (Good working knowledge) /li /ul h3Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To: /h3 ul liConduct Professional Training/Briefings/Classes. /li liPrevention Programs include community education programs, commander education programs, troop education programs, education for professionals programs, and parent education and support. These programs are centered on domestic violence and child abuse prevention. /li liCommunity Outreach Participation: This includes manning informational tables, supporting and attending community events, and providing input for the FAP program. /li liConduct Community Resilience Events/Family Summits. /li liPromote Child Abuse Prevention and Teen Dating Violence Awareness through community meetings and public education. /li liMarketing the FAP Program to the community. /li liEvaluation of program effectiveness/conduct surveys and assist with the Family Advocacy Committee for FAP Program Evaluation. /li liWork with the ACS FAP Team and attend appropriate meetings. /li liCase Coordination and Referral. /li liAssist with administrative duties associated with the service delivery, including maintaining a local unit database, leadership FAP training logs, and weekly data entry. /li /ul h3TRAINING/TRAVEL REQUIREMENT /h3 pThe FAP Educator/Contractor may be required to attend training to enhance the skills and knowledge unique to the Army Command. Most courses are offered through HQ in San Antonio, Texas, or other Stateside Locations.
