Wood is recruiting for a Grid Connection Manage r to join its Energy Assets & Development team focusing on solar, wind and storage projects. This is an opportunity to join one of the Italian most established renewable energy Project Development teams and help develop renewable energy assets. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week. LI-Hybrid The Role The Grid Connection Manager will be part of the Energy Asset Development Team and will report to the Head of Project Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire grid connection process with the TSO or DNO, from the grid connection request to the energy activation of the plant. The candidate will manage all connection aspects related to our renewable energy projects (solar, wind and storage). They will serve as the primary contact for relations with electricity grid operators at Wood. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with Origination and Development team. Expected Relevant Engineering Degree Proven and consolidated experience and understanding with regards to all necessary steps for connecting Renewable Energy Plants to both National Transmission and Distribution Grid, from the initial application to the commissioning of the plant, for both HV and MV grid connection requests in Italy as well as possessing a sound understanding of the grid connection Italian standards and regulations (. TICA, Grid Code and so forth) Proven experience in managing, for the whole design process, all main Italian Grid related portals (MyTerna, e-Distribuzione, Gaudì) Proven Experience in development within the Renewable Energy industry is strongly preferred Strong capacity in creating and managing relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders and specifically TSO/DSO; a consolidated network with TSO/DSO representatives is considered a plus. Support the Head of Project Development, during the technical meetings with TSO/DSO. Fluency in Italian and English.
