About the role:
As an experienced Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within Corporate accounts through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Your responsibilities will span multiple aspects of accounting and financial management, requiring a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will cooperate with different parties in the process of financial statement preparation, review posting accuracy, and support statutory audits. Your work will contribute to accurate month-end closing and financial reporting for key stakeholders.
You will report to the Senior Manager EMEA GAC.
This is a hybrid position with access to our offices in Monfalcone, Italy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger journal bookings and month-end close reviews.
* Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and company policies in all journal activities.
* Ensure all month-end entries are posted as required.
* Support and provide insights to address discrepancies in the trial balance.
* Perform reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies during reconciliation.
* Obtain and reconcile balance confirmations.
* Collaborate with relevant teams to rectify discrepancies.
* Assist with audits and financial statement preparation.
* Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
* Degree in Accounting.
* Italian Chartered Accountant (or equivalent).
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
* Experience with SAP and Quasar X systems.
