The POWER ARCHITECT is a key role within the Application Engineering Team and the Strategic Accounts Sales Team, serving as the leader for power train solutions, including medium and low voltage switchgear, UPS, STS / PDU, RPP / Busway, and high-density applications. This role supports traditional and grid support solutions and acts as the main reference point for high-density applications. This individual will influence the design of solutions for assigned accounts, contributing to market share growth and increasing win rates among major customers within the segment. The role is integral to the EMEA Power Engineering team and the EMEA Strategic Accounts organization, with accountability for the complete Power portfolio order targets for the assigned accounts. The POWER ARCHITECT will lead a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for technical support and commercial strategies for all Power products. Support will be provided by a matrix of Key Account Directors and Application Engineers to ensure customer needs are met through a balanced approach to relationship management and technical support. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical sales experience, a proven industry track record, and a well-established network with top clients in EMEA. They should have strong commercial acumen, the ability to build internal and external networks, and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across business units and engage with senior management. Strategic Account sales are a vital revenue stream for Vertiv, and we seek a highly capable, energetic, and ambitious individual for this role. Role Responsibilities: Provide technical support and training to strategic customers and sales teams on Power products and solutions. Support sales with pre-sales technical expertise for proposals, quotes, and tenders. Collaborate on projects with strategic customers alongside sales and technical teams. Develop technical and cost-effective applications for Power products to meet unique customer requirements. Organize and host events and workshops to demonstrate Vertiv technologies. Work closely with consultants to understand their needs and develop effective solutions, influencing RFQs. Additional Duties: Manage projects during OTO, including FAT support. Build relationships with consultants and customers to drive specifications, especially for Colo and hyperscale accounts. Maintain expertise in switchgear, large power converters, RPP / Busway, high-density applications, grid applications, and sustainability initiatives. Drive growth in Power sales and profitability, securing Vertiv as the preferred partner. Manage a diverse portfolio of top EMEA clients, ensuring a healthy pipeline across all sales stages. Coordinate with sales teams on bids and commercial positioning. Qualifications & Experience: Engineering background or equivalent with proven field experience. Extensive experience in AC Power product selection and installation, especially in data centers or similar industries. Willing to travel approximately 30%. Core Competencies: Customer-focused with practical experience in AC power train products. Skilled in quoting, proposing, installing, and managing projects. Disciplined, proactive, and capable of balancing long-term and short-term goals. Excellent organizational skills, team-oriented, and effective at all organizational levels.
