Retail Intern

Opportunity:
The ideal candidate will join our Retail team, supported by a functional tutor, and will develop solid competencies in retail operations, sales analysis, and luxury beauty business management.
The role involves supporting retail strategy and operational activities across niche beauty brands within luxury department stores and mono-brand boutiques in Italy. The intern will work closely with the Retail Director, Store Managers, and Commercial department, contributing to sales performance monitoring, customer experience excellence, and retail execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the analysis of sales data (sell-out) and identify trends to support strategic decision-making;
* Support retail operations and strategy for niche brands across luxury department stores (La Rinascente) and own stores in Italy;
* Collaborate with Store Managers and support the coordination of a team of 20 Beauty Advisors;
* Monitor in-store execution, ensuring consistency in customer experience, visual merchandising, and retail excellence across 16 counters in 3 cities and one boutique;
* Support collaboration with the Commercial team in future sales planning activities, balancing sell-in and sell-out performance;
* Support the monitoring of sales budgets, objectives, and KPIs;
* Assist in team management activities, including shift planning and performance monitoring for bonus allocation;
* Support the maintenance of high customer service standards and compliance with brand display guidelines;
* Assist in managing relationships with Store Managers and external staffing agencies;
* Support scouting activities and the opening of mono-brand stores.
Competences:
Ideally, the person we are looking for this position should possess:
* A degree or ongoing studies in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields;
* Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are considered a plus;
* A strong interest in the beauty and luxury industry;
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail;
* Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly strong proficiency in Excel;
* Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills;
* Proactive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
