Job ID: 3136114 | Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced negotiator who will independently lead negotiations of complex cloud services agreements with sophisticated enterprise customers. The AWS Enterprise Negotiator is a hybrid legal and business role that will own and drive all aspects of these negotiations, including developing internal strategy, crafting proposals for custom terms to address unique customer needs, drafting bespoke contractual provisions, collaborating with internal stakeholder groups and business leadership to drive open points to closure, and serving as the face of AWS Legal in customer negotiation calls.
Responsibilities
* Lead negotiations of complex cloud services agreements with enterprise customers, independently managing strategy and execution.
* Develop internal negotiation strategy and proposals for custom terms to address unique customer needs.
* Draft bespoke contractual provisions and coordinate with internal stakeholder groups and business leadership to close open points.
* Represent AWS Legal in customer negotiation calls and maintain poise under pressure in tight timelines.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 5+ years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience
* 5+ years of drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts
* Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting; ability to quickly read and interpret legal terminology
Preferred Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) or international equivalent
* Experience independently leading negotiations of complex sell-side B2B enterprise technology contracts (SaaS, IaaS, AI/ML, GenAI, or cloud computing)
* Experience practicing as in-house or external counsel
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines
* High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness and creative thinking

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
