LOCATION: ON-SITE IN MICHIGAN, USA We are seeking a motivated Design Release Engineer (DRE) to join our Engine / Mechanical Development team. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who want to build strong technical expertise in mechanical product development within the automotive sector. The selected candidate will support component design, release, and lifecycle management, contributing to serial production and continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities: Manage 3D and 2D design release activities using CAD tools Create, update, and maintain engineering documentation within PLM systems Support Bill of Materials (BoM) management Coordinate and implement engineering changes (CRF, CN, CCD or equivalent processes) Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and support dimensional validation Coordinate validation activities and ensure design compliance Interface with suppliers for technical reviews, feasibility assessments, and issue resolution Ensure alignment with technical specifications, cost targets, and project timing Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and testing Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field 1-5 years of experience in mechanical or automotive product development Experience with 3D CAD software (NX preferred) xpavfwm
