A hydraulic engineer is required to design, develop and optimize hydraulic systems for excavator products in the European market.
Key responsibilities include creating and improving hydraulic layouts, researching new technologies, analysing user feedback to boost reliability and reduce costs, providing technical support to dealers and field teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
About the Role
This role involves working closely with internal teams to train them on hydraulic systems and maintenance, as well as staying up-to-date with industry trends in electro-hydraulic technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction machinery hydraulic systems and component technologies, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and control circuits.
The successful candidate will be proficient in CAD software, such as Creo or SolidWorks, for creating 2D/3D hydraulic schematics and assemblies. Additionally, experience with hydraulic system simulation tools is highly desirable.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering or a closely related field
* Minimum 4 years' experience in construction machinery and hydraulic system engineering, specifically within excavator or heavy-equipment contexts
* In-depth understanding of construction machinery hydraulic systems and component technologies
* Proficiency in hydraulic system layout, encompassing tank design, pipe/hose routing, sealing solutions, and installation constraints
* Experience with hydraulic system simulation tools and awareness of advanced industry trends in electro-hydraulic technology
* Proficient in CAD software for creating 2D/3D hydraulic schematics and assemblies
