An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a growing team delivering large-scale and technically complex construction projects across Europe. This role focuses on supporting the successful coordination, installation, and delivery of mechanical systems within major mission-critical projects.
Scope of WorkCoordinate mechanical engineering activities across the project lifecycleReview and manage design documents, technical specifications, and drawingsSupport project handover and coordination meetingsIdentify value-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costsPrepare and review coordinated drawings across multiple disciplinesRaise and track RFIs, purchase orders, equipment deliveries, and receiptsMonitor project progress, variations, take-offs, and commercial impactsLiaise with designers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical and commercial issuesPrepare method statements and risk assessmentsCoordinate subcontractor activities and installation sequencingCarry out inspections, snagging, P&ID, and layout walkdownsPopulate and manage testing and commissioning documentationMaintain accurate project documentation and document control systemsEnsure compliance with project quality, safety, and information management requirements
RequirementsPrevious experience within mechanical project engineering on construction projectsStrong understanding of design coordination, procurement, and installation processesExperience working on large-scale data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageousAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing subcontractors and supporting project delivery on-siteKnowledge of testing, commissioning, and QA/QC processes preferred
