We are looking for a Plant Controller to support financial planning, analysis and reporting activities.The candidate will be part of the Italian Finance Team, reporting to the Finance Business Partner, and will passionately support the growth of the Company and the alignment between operations and the economic and financial targets.Plants in scope of this role are two, Casteggio (PV) and Cologne (BS). This is a full‐time position based in Casteggio, with the possibility to travel to Cologne (less than 10%).Key activities and responsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Analysis
Collect, analyse and comment on main production and inventory KPIs, track procurement performance.Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for local management and corporate headquarters.Assist in variance analysis comparing actual performance to forecasts and standards, identifying trends and providing insights.Help to develop Power BI reporting.Support data collection and ESG reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Support preparation of budgets and forecasts related to production costs, overheads and other operating expenses.Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, maintenance and general services teams to gather data needed for accurate forecasting.Assist the monthly costs tracking to ensure adherence to financial plans.
Cost Control and Analysis
Analyse production costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of cost accounting and internal controls.Monitor inventory valuation, manage cost allocation and support pricing analysis when required.
Process Improvement
Support the implementation of processes to optimise the control of production costs and the accuracy of reporting.Identify inefficiencies in reporting or cost allocation and suggest improvements.Contribute to the innovation of cost‐controlling procedures, promoting and implementing new ways to analyse and report data.
Audit and Governance Support
Help to prepare internal and external audits.Ensure adherence to relevant company policies and regulations in financial reporting and industrial operations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.1–2 years of experience in audit or cost control in medium‐structured industrial companies is preferable.Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and financial reporting tools. Knowledge of PowerBI, TM1 Oracle and Microsoft D365 is appreciated.Attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and variances in data.Good written and spoken English.Ability to effectively communicate financial results to non‐financial departments.Attitude for teamwork and collaboration between different business areas.Hands‐on approach and flexibility to address different topics at the same time.
