Join to apply for the AI Transformation Lead – Strategy & Demand role at UniCredit.
As an AI Transformation Tech Lead, you will operate as the technical bridge between Business Strategy and Technology execution. Your primary goal is to scout, validate, and structure high‑value AI opportunities, ensuring resources are invested in initiatives that generate real ROI.
What you can expect from us
* Strategic Ideation & Opportunity Scouting: Proactively scout opportunities within the bank (“Internal Selling”), identifying areas where AI can drive high‑impact innovation or efficiency. Collaborate with business units and the transformation office to align AI initiatives with the bank’s broader digital evolution.
* Proactive Demand Management & Scouting (Bottom‑Up): Lead the AI demand management process across Business Units, moving beyond passive collection to active identification of technical AI needs.
* Business Case & Sourcing Strategy: Bring technical expertise to ensure each initiative has a rigorous business case, gathering estimates from the factory and contributing to a clear ROI (cost savings, revenue generation, risk mitigation). Drive the Buy vs. Make evaluation, determining whether to build custom on GCP, buy market solutions, or leverage low‑code tools.
* Portfolio & Value Tracking: Maintain the catalog of AI solutions and capabilities, and track the realization of the business case post‑implementation (budgeted vs. actual costs and impacts).
What we expect from you
* Experience: 4‑7 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in Strategy Consulting or Digital Strategy/Innovation within Financial Services.
* AI Functional Knowledge: Consolidated knowledge of AI technology from a functional perspective, understanding what is currently possible with specific models or stacks (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, Predictive ML) to validate feasibility during ideation.
* Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of AI regulatory challenges (GDPR, EU AI Act) and their impact on use‑case feasibility.
* Demand & Selling: Proven experience in demand management and opportunity scouting (preferably in the AI domain). Demonstrate the value of AI to business leaders to generate quality demand.
* Communication Skills: Top‑notch presentation and public‑speaking skills; ability to present to senior leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience managing high‑level stakeholders and navigating organizational complexities to align business and tech objectives.
* Banking/FSI Knowledge: Consolidated exposure to banking processes (e.g., Credit, Risk, Commercial, Operations).
* Education: Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related STEM disciplines.
Nice‑to‑have
* Strategic Sourcing: Proven experience in Buy vs. Make evaluation and strategy definition.
* Digital Governance: Experience in Digital Strategy and Governance roles (defining frameworks, prioritization matrices).
* Complex Execution: Hands‑on experience driving strategic digital initiatives with high complexities and multiple counterparts.
