Position
Italdesign is looking for an enthusiastic and smart student passionate about automotive, eager to join an innovative and international business environment, working in an agile way and embracing a strong team spirit.
You will gain a great experience in learning all the instruments, procedures and technical aspects with the support of your tutor and colleagues of the Department.
Project
You will be involved in an interesting project concerning an automotive vehicle dynamics software application within the Vehicle Chassis dynamic company department. You will contribute to the design, development and implementation of an AI‑based algorithm to estimate the vertical forces at the four corners of the vehicle. The algorithm shall be able to run in real‑time within the vehicle ECU.
Estimating vertical forces at four corners is a challenging task, which is typically not available in most standard vehicle configurations in the automotive market, as it requires significant effort. Knowing these values can enhance the performance of vehicle dynamics control systems. The goal of this activity is to develop an efficient methodology capable of satisfying this requirement and suitable for implementation on stock vehicles.
