In this role you will be responsible for the development, improvement and conduction of vehicle performance simulation, correlation, analysis and optimization methodologies projects, related to race weekends performance optimization. You will also be involved in longer term vehicle development activities, in collaboration with all Vehicle Performance groups. /ph3Job Description /h3pbDriver in the Loop Simulator /b /ppContribution to the DiL Simulator activity as part of the simulator engineers’ pool. /ppContribution to the development and running of simulation- and data-driven race car setup and characterization methodologies. /ppRegular participation to DiL simulator sessions to organize sessions’ run plan according to Vehicle Performance engineers’ test items requests, manage the car simulation and extract results from the test items, including during race weekends. /ppPost-sessions test items results analysis work (including car performance and simulation correlation aspects), in collaboration with vehicle performance areas experts. /ppParticipation to the development of the Simulator activity though proposal, definition and execution of improvement projects. /ppPlanning and execution of such simulation and analysis methodologies according to the car development cycle and race test calendar (car development and Pre-/ in-/ Post-Event work). /ppMaintain documentation for the methodologies and projects under the roles’ ownership. /ppEstablish and contribute to performance-related working groups with the other Vehicle Performance groups. /ppEnsure that the main DiL activity has the required robustness, visibility, clarity in the department to make the most out of the tool. /ppEnsure that engineering tools and methodologies placed under the role’s ownership reach the expected level of quality and integrate coherently with the rest of the VPG Toolset and related guidelines. /ppbVehicle Performance Innovation /b /ppExploration development of novel simulation- and data- driven methodologies in the field of vehicle performance. /ppSimulation and car performance analysis methodologies improvement proposals and implementation, in collaboration with the various fields’ experts of the Vehicle Performance Group. /ppbProfessionalism /b /ppParticipation to Race and Tests Events support activities from VCARB’s Operation Room and the Driver in the Loop simulator. /ppMaintain a proactive and positive attitude while working on assigned tasks, ensuring efficient delivery within deadlines. /ppbWhat we offer /b /ppSuccess on track starts with people, talented individuals who grow, learn, and push forward together.
