Operations Project Manager - CTU Colorado Springs The Operations Project Manager will support critical business operations through reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating key initiatives as identified by the university, providing necessary documentation for projects including timelines and project planning, and driving successful project completion. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for campus-based operations including campus-based course scheduling; managing the operations for in-person lectures; supporting the Colleges and Academic teams in regards to courses, lectures, faculty scheduling, and other operational needs; and collaborating with team across campuses to ensure operations are running as needed as well as support online project management for Academic Operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for in-person campus-based operation projects and support as needed
Document tasks for assigned projects including timelines, project plans, reporting & analysis, summary notes, and other items as required
Drive an on-time and orderly workflow, holding individuals accountable to milestones and agreements
Track and analyze project performance, including: Monitoring project progress based on major milestones
Meeting with project stakeholders to review project recommendations
Support stakeholder communications which includes: Working with Director of Academic Operations to determine the information and communications needs of stakeholders (e.g., who needs what information, when they need it, and how will it be given to them)
Making needed information available to stakeholders
Assess risk to projects of high-importance and on the collection of projects which includes: Identifying, analyzing, and responding to project risk
Determining risks likely to affect projects and escalating as needed with necessary documentation
Tracking identified risks, monitoring residual risks, identifying new risks, executing risk plans and evaluating their effectiveness in reducing risk
Integrate projects to provide proper and adequate coordination of the linkages between them
Assist in the development of training, internal and external, for project rollouts for new features, operational changes, and other identified areas as needed
Act as an additional level of support and point of contact for project rollouts to staff, faculty, and other affected groups, and the primary point of contact for campus project rollouts
Identify and partner with key internal groups necessary for project success
Meet project related commitments on time and with the highest standards of quality
Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats
Create and maintain positive, productive working relationships with peers and other staff
Developing and ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Support other needs as identified by the business
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies
Strong analytical skills
Ability to effectively translate business requirements into project requirements and planning
Excellent communication, written and group facilitation skills
Proven ability to effectively manage tasks, and activities
MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Education industry experience is a plus
Education and Experience: Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience
3 – 5 years related experience
Education and Experience: Preferred
Master’s Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
Project Management (PMP) Certifications or equivalent
