Amazon seeks a Sr. Finance Analyst to support the FP&A team within Other Hardlines (OHL) Store Finance. The FP&A Analyst will support the FP&A Lead, Finance Director, and VP in decision-making through data analysis and business insight.
Key job responsibilities
The Sr. Finance Analyst will be a finance partner to the OHL finance and business team and part of the OHL finance team. Responsibilities include managing financial metrics, reporting, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and adapting to rapidly changing priorities, with demonstrated ability to oversee the finances of a high-growth business.
Key tasks:
* Perform financial reporting and support weekly performance reviews, monthly P&L analysis, and financial forecasts for the Product Family.
* Establish relationships and collaborate with multiple finance and business teams (Retail, Accounting, Operations).
* Support monthly/quarterly financial closing activities in coordination with business and finance teams, including document writing.
* Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with managers to balance growth and profitability.
* Perform ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling. Present strategic recommendations to senior management and support future initiatives.
The role will have the support of an intern.

Basic qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, business, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in tax, finance, or analytical roles.
* Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
* Experience creating process improvements through automation and analysis.
* Experience identifying and executing opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize finance and business processes.
* Proficiency in SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
* Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
