Main Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Lead
Reporting to Plant Manager (hard line)
Functionally (dotted line) reporting to Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities and duties :
The role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's products meets customer requirements and Trimas quality objectives, maintaining the company's quality systems in line with ISO9001 and BRC standards.
The role will also be responsible for identifying and developing continuous improvement projects.
Main tasks include:
* Leading the quality team of the Forli plant.
* Promoting an EHS culture as an ambassador across the plant.
* Managing quality and improvements in the plant (scrap reduction, preventive quality, driving continuous improvement).
* Maintaining daily contact with customers and suppliers regarding potential quality claims.
* Ensuring smooth launch of new projects/products into serial production and related activities.
* Managing, controlling, analyzing, improving, and reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly quality KPIs.
* Maintaining standards of the Quality Management System.
* Creating and updating work instructions, quality alerts, and Quality Control Plans.
* Assisting in overcoming production, assembly, and process problems, with periodic reporting and recommendations for further actions.
* Setting up regular audits on production lines and tracking action plans.
* Providing advice on acceptance or rejection of incoming materials and components, implementing corrective actions with suppliers.
* Collaborating with the Plant Management team to identify and resolve quality issues promptly and permanently.
* Maintaining ISO certification standards and working towards acquiring new certifications targeted by the company.
