 
        
        Main Purpose of the Role
The new resource will manage global multiple projects of varying complexity, from formulation development to industrial line design & line start up and ensures on-time and on-budget delivery, supervise the overall goodness of the product&process; concerning the assigned category and build and maintain technical know-how for the category assigned. 
What you will do
- Managing new product/process development, in compliance with Group and local strategies, from bench top through manufacturing scale Up, launch and post launch: ensure flawless operation of pilot and application lab in order to get samples on-time to mktg and work jointly with local RDQ for a smooth industrial scale up;
- Contributing to design new manufacturing line or upgrade/improve the existing in close cooperation with Group Engineering and starting from process flow chart drafting;
- Anticipating, identifying, tracking, and understanding competitors and adjacent categories product launches worldwide;
- Understand characteristics and performances of all ingredients used in the products and also the critical interactions among ingredients in the formula to change the manufacturing efficiency and product performance;
- Contributes to identifying solutions and improvement areas in Formulas & Processes of existing products and supports the local RDQ on defining a corrective action plan and monitor the execution;
- Contribute to define technological solution aimed to sustain the breakthrough innovation pipeline in accordance with company long term strategy;
- Ensures the smooth running of projects, planning execution, managing resources, interact with other departments (marketing, packaging, operations, regulatory, Supply chain, finance etc) and monitoring process to meet targets and objectives;
- Ensure the direct reports have a targeted objectives/development plan and support them in achieving their goals.
Our Perfect Candidate
- Degree in food technology/Chemist/Food engineering or related fields;
- 10 years’ experience in food products and processes, preferably in confectionary;
- Experience in a global/multisite manufacturing environment is highly desirable;
- Strong Technological knowledge in confectionary area;
- Good knowledge in product formulation and raw materials and processes;
- Very good understanding of projects from start to finish and with different area of application;
- Keen ability to pay attention to details at every step of the project;
- Ability to present complex information to team and different audiences;
- Strong organizational and managerial skills;
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, complete tasks to deadlines and support assigned staff in doing the same;
- Ability to strategically work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders;
- Strong Project management skills;
- Available to travel abroad (approx 40% of the time) when requested.
