Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this role is to manage, supervise and deliver end-to-end efficiency of Unilever payroll on a monthly basis. The role will provide support to various global, regional and local teams in the relevant operating and audit cycles. You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.
Key Responsibilities
* Process accurate and timely payroll for country remittance of data to bank through collaboration with finance, reward, global payroll & equity teams (collate inputs, review, process and reconcile).
* Manage all exit computations from the business including voluntary and company initiated exits with oversight on timelines and process.
* Monitor payroll processes to meet legal compliance, Code of Business Practice (COBP) and Global Financial Controls Framework (GFCF) requirements.
* Manage processing of statutory deductions and remittance of data to regulatory bodies for payments to institutions and employees.
* Input to payroll systems against new reward cycle, new collective Bargaining agreement, Time and Attendance data/payment related calculations for payroll accuracy.
* Process statutory deductions report and remit to finance for pay‑outs (tax, life insurance, pension, co‑operatives, shares deduction, etc.).
* Prepare monthly payroll Service Level Agreement reporting.
* Lead payroll projects and process improvement initiatives (collaboration with IT, Finance, etc.).
* Prepare annual reports and manage end‑year processes (taxation, write‑off).
* Ensure implementation of payroll transformation project, process change/improvement, adjustments, etc.
* Reward and payroll related communication (schedules, guidelines).
* Work with the Reward Manager to deliver a successful reward cycle including engagement with the Global Equity team and deliver operational efficiency.
* Participate in Reward operational processes and provide input from a payroll compliance perspective.
* Engage with business and internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Manage relationship with external regulatory bodies and external partners.
* Own controls and governance agenda in payroll space – audit performance and participation (internal and external).
Required Qualifications
* University Graduate.
* 5 years experience in managing payroll (preferably FMCG experience).
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Good proficiency in HR Information & Payroll Systems.
* Good appreciation of the local pay and reward context.
* Good understanding of in‑market Labor Law.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in vendors management.
* Knowledge of financial processes.
* Experience in working with global organisations.
