About This Role
This Manager, Account Management position in our Milan office is a key part of our journey to transform road freight logistics. As a leader, you'll oversee the Control Tower Account Management team to ensure outstanding client service, effective communication, and achievement of contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship, Planning, and Revenue Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring Contractual standards are met, building long-term visions over strategic partnerships, and handling escalations with Carrier Management Team.
2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate Operations Planners to deliver exceptional customer service, set clear performance objectives, monitor KPIs, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
3. Operational Management, Performance, and Reporting: Ensure SLAs and contractual obligations are consistently met or exceeded, monitor network-specific KPIs, prepare internal performance reports, and share insights with clients and stakeholders.
4. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, implement solutions to enhance productivity and client satisfaction, work with relevant departments to integrate best practices, ensure compliance, and drive business efficiency.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. At least 6 years of experience in account management, planning, or customer service within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
3. Experience managing teams, working directly with clients in high-pressure environments, and expertise in managing complex client relationships and third-party logistics providers.
4. Strong doer mindset, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to getting things done.
5. Strong proficiency in Italian and English; another language is a plus but not required.
