We are looking for a detail‑oriented Supply Chain Manager, preferably based in Milan, with an office also in Verona, Italy. Responsibilities
* Ensure cost‑quality optimized goods and services are purchased for our projects, on suitable terms for delivery, cost, payments and quality to meet project timescales and milestones.
* Seek, identify and engage appropriate suppliers for project‑related goods and services.
* Lead the negotiation of contract terms and pricing with both internal and external stakeholders; manage and monitor compliance of delivery against contracts; enforce claims to suppliers in case of deviations.
* Support claim management and related post‑sales activities.
* Clarify market conditions relating to local content, imports, exports, credit limits, and credit protection framework.
* Monitor and report political conditions affecting the renewables industry in the EMEA region.
* Carry out and support supplier qualification based on existing processes with focus on local based suppliers/subcontractors.
* Establish and maintain long‑term local supplier and subcontractor relationships.
* Create and maintain standard and/or framework agreements with local suppliers/subcontractors where needed.
* Support the development and implementation of purchasing strategy for local projects, based on EMEA and global purchasing strategy, coordinated with the Head of Project Supply Chain in Germany and focused on local suppliers/subcontractors’ requirements.
* Work in conjunction with the JUWI HQ purchasing organization to utilize global supplier frameworks.
Qualifications
* 5 years’ experience in international procurement and supply chain management.
* 2-year experience in the solar EPC market for photovoltaic utility‑scale projects in Italy.
* In‑depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing international contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
* Degree in (Industrial) Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar discipline.
* Skilled negotiator with ability to foster solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Highly organized and detail‑oriented with analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Travel to project sites may be required from time to time.
Desirable
* Experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
* Full professional proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
* Knowledge of German is considered an asset.
* Multi‑tasking and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
