About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Public Image Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy that enhances our reputation and drives positive media coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement a strategic media approach that aligns with business objectives, including integrated multimedia campaigns.
* Maintain awareness of emerging trends in media and non-traditional channels, ensuring our public image remains current and relevant.
* Collaborate with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
* Coordinate with other departments to maintain unified messaging across external sites, intranet, and media outlets.
Relationship Building and Management
* Foster strong relationships with key media contacts to secure increased positive media coverage.
* Identify and introduce new media channels to maximize coverage.
* Serve as primary point of contact for media inquiries, bloggers, and internal editorial teams.
* Secure features, stories, and appearances in national, regional, and local media outlets.
Content Creation
* Create and distribute company news through releases, advisories, individual pitches, etc.
* Utilize innovative formats like videos, podcasts, and social media to increase media presence.
* Write local media alerts, editorial placements, web updates, and printed articles.
* Develop and manage an editorial calendar to optimize media coverage and exposure.
* Contribute to social media efforts and help populate the external website.
Brand Awareness
* Drive and elevate brand awareness among the public through targeted media use.
* Collaborate with business units to communicate new initiatives to media and align media strategy with business goals.
Requirements
* Native or bilingual English proficiency.
* Basic Italian language skills (desired).
* 3-4 years of experience in a related field.
* Availability for international travel.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
