Job Description Summary
The Lead Testing Engineer, reporting to the Avenza Gate 0 Leader, will be responsible for all testing technical and fulfillment activities at Avenza LM Service Shop, related to the overhaul of LM25000 (derived from CF6-6) and LM6000 (derived from CF6-80). The role is primarily on-site, and previous experience as a Field Services Engineer in the Oil & Gas Business is considered a plus.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
* Support Avenza Shop in managing testing activities at Massa, Kollsnes, and other approved test facilities.
* Review commercial guarantees, test expectations/requirements, and develop performance test procedures.
* Analyze data, evaluate test results, diagnose issues, and define corrective actions.
* Prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding testing activities, schedules, and technical issues.
* Support the development and improvement of performance tools and processes.
* Participate in Shop Operative Rhythm/reviews to support production needs.
* Serve as a technical reference for Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis in assembly and testing processes, focusing on Safety, Quality, and Lean Production.
* Ensure smooth introduction of new products and processes within Shop Operations.
* Support new service development initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or proven experience operating/testing Aeroderivative Engines.
* Previous experience as a Field Services Engineer, dealing with complex organizations in the Oil & Gas sector.
* Ability to synthesize complex technical information.
* Willingness and ability to travel for global assignments.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all organizational levels.
* Fluency in Italian and English.
Desired Characteristics
* Experience with engines such as LM2500, LM6000, LM9000, CF6-6, CF6-80, GE90-115B is a plus.
* Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer.
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Solution-oriented problem solver.
* Experience dealing with customers is a plus.
