The Industrial Controller is a newly established position within the Finance department, supporting the Head of Finance in building and leading financial operations specific to the industrial segment of a luxury brand. The Industrial Controller reports to the Head of Finance. Job Responsibilities Strategic Financial System Development : Support in establishing robust financial systems and processes for industrial operations from the ground up, integrating them with existing corporate finance structures. Costing System Implementation : Support in designing and implementing a cost accounting and controlling system that captures all elements of production costs with precision while facilitating analysis for cost-saving opportunities without compromising luxury standards. Comprehensive Financial Oversight : Support in managing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and accounting for both corporate finances and industrial operations. Cash Flow Management : Monitor cash flow regularly to ensure liquidity for operations while optimizing investment opportunities. Budget Creation & Financial Planning : Develop initial budgets and financial plans that encompass both industrial operations and broader corporate objectives. Set benchmarks for cost management. Performance Metrics & Reporting Frameworks : Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reporting frameworks to measure efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all department activities. Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Collaborate closely with different departments to ensure integrated financial planning that supports operational objectives. Financial Analysis & Strategic Support : Build actual and forecast P&L statements and produce analysis focusing on inventory, margins, and costs. Develop monthly reports and perform variance analysis between budget and actual figures. Compliance & Control Environment Setup : Support in establishing a framework for compliance, including an internal control environment tailored for industrial finance operations in accordance with LVMH Internal Control standards. Capital Expenditure Evaluation : Evaluate capital expenditure proposals related to industrial equipment from a financial perspective. Change Management & Continuous Improvement : Drive change management initiatives as new systems are introduced; foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function and organization, particularly regarding cost efficiency without sacrificing product excellence. Cost Reduction & Process Improvement : Lead initiatives to reduce costs through lean manufacturing principles, procurement strategies, and operational efficiencies while upholding luxury standards. Technology Utilization & Team Development : Leverage advanced technology solutions tailored to both corporate finance functions and industrial production needs. Profile Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; experience within the finance department of a multinational company; sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and IFRS principles; deep understanding of manufacturing processes combined with financial expertise; demonstrated ability to implement ERP systems or other technology solutions in an industrial setting; exceptional analytical skills for detailed reporting; strong communication skills for cross-functional engagement; organizational skills, proactive attitude, and strategic thinking; international experience highly preferred; fluent in English.
