OPERATIONS MANAGERPurpose of the Role
Reporting to the Site Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for leading all day-to-day production activities at a regulated industrial site, ensuring compliance with Seveso III legislation and the company's safety, quality and environmental standards.
The position plays a key role in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes and costs, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with Seveso III and all relevant safety, environmental and quality regulations
Deliver planned production output while maintaining high standards of process reliability and product quality
Collaborate closely with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure equipment efficiency and minimize downtime
Coordinate with Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams to support audits, certifications and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure cost-effective and sustainable production
Drive process optimization, cost control and performance improvement through Lean and Operational Excellence methodologies
Support the introduction of new products and processes, ensuring readiness and compliance with operational standards
Promote a strong safety and performance culture by leading, coaching and motivating production teams
Implement company policies in accordance with national labor regulations and internal procedures
Contribute to strategic improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives supporting business growth.
Requirements
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field
7–10 years of experience in operations management within a chemical or process manufacturing environment regulated under Seveso III (Directive *******/EU)
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement
Excellent communication, influencing and organizational skills.
Fluent in English and Italian.

Based in the North-West of Italy.
