At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
Within the Avio Aero’s Supply Chain team and directly reporting to the Sub Commodity Leader, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods within MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) Business. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor’s requirements to PO placement
- Understand the Service MRO Commodity needs based on the Service Strategy and define SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) matrix in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team
- Manage Supplier with the aim to strength relationship with strategic suppliers and create action plan for critical suppliers, in collaboration with strategic team
- Perform spent analysis for the Service MRO commodity and with reference to the OP and Strategy goals (including deflation, costout, days to pay)
- Negotiate PO and purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations
- Build a strong relationship with GE Aviation Sourcing Team to collaborate and share opportunities
- Work in collaboration with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to meet established goal of OTD, span, delinquency and vendor recovery
**Qualification/Requirements**
- Degree in Engineering or Economic field from an accredited university or college
- Ability to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately
- Professional working knowledge of SAP
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Proactivity, Customer orientation, initiative, autonomy
- Fluent in Italian and English language, both written and spoken
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
**Desired Characteristics**
- Knowledge of current market conditions and sources of supply
- Knowledge of Service MRO processes and tooling management
- Previous experience in sourcing organization
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude
- Highly motivated team member
