Within our Process Discipline, we are looking for a HSE Design Engineer (f/m/d) for industrial plants, mainly Pharma. The HSE Design Engineer will be part of a team working for major international clients in the Pharma markets, focused on providing technical solutions and delivering complex projects. The role involves ensuring all legal requirements, authority considerations, and best engineering practices related to HSE are incorporated throughout all project phases. The engineer will play a key role within the team, providing instructions and checking designs for safety and environmental compliance.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Providing day-to-day support to the Project Team to define the approach for proper implementation and review of all safety issues in the project design, including supporting follow-up activities.
2. Coordinating and performing Risk assessment reviews and HSE assessments during the design phase, primarily HAZID, HAZOP (knowledge of SIL analysis is a plus), including follow-up of corrective actions, considering both international norms and standards and the Client's standards/procedures.
3. Performing (or reviewing) hazardous area classification according to ATEX Directive.
4. Coordinating design according to PED Directive requirements.
5. Performing HSE training.

Requirements:
* At least 3 years of experience in HSE within a specialized or engineering company.
* Knowledge of updated norms and standards regarding safety and environmental design aspects.
* Experience chairing HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
* Experience with HSE aspects in engineering design (safety distances, ergonomics, fire & gas, etc.).
* Ability to work in a team.
* Fluent in English and Italian (knowledge of French or German is a plus).
* Availability to travel within Italy and Europe for short-term design reviews.
