We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise‑grade cloud platforms across Azure and AWS. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end cloud infrastructure architecture, CI/CD strategy, and security posture while guiding engineering teams toward scalable, automated, and secure solutions.
You will act as a technical authority on infrastructure-as-code, platform reliability, multi‑cloud networking, and DevSecOps best practices while mentoring junior engineers and partnering with leaders across development, IT, data, and security teams.
This is a hands‑on senior technical role with significant influence over cloud strategy, standards, and engineering excellence across the organisation.
Your Key Contributions
Cloud Architecture & Engineering Leadership
- Architect and implement multi‑cloud platforms (Azure + AWS) with an emphasis on scalability, resilience, security, and cost‑efficiency.
- Lead the design of enterprise IaC frameworks using Terraform/Terragrunt, enforcing modularity, reusability, and compliance standards.
- Define cloud networking architecture (hub/spoke, hybrid connectivity, firewalls, routing) and lead troubleshooting of complex network issues.
- Establish guardrails, governance, and best practices for cloud security, identity, encryption, data protection, and monitoring.
CI/CD and DevOps Strategy
- Own and evolve the organisation‑wide CI/CD strategy using Azure DevOps and Bitbucket.
- Architect end‑to‑end pipelines integrating automated testing, security scanning, policy enforcement, and multi‑environment deployments.
- Standardize build and release processes across teams and reduce delivery friction through automation and pipeline optimization.
- Mentor teams on Git workflows, branching models, and release engineering patterns.
Platform Reliability, Operations, and Security
- Oversee platform health, performance, and cost governance across cloud workloads.
- Champion DevSecOps practices, embedding security controls into infrastructure and pipelines.
- Implement enterprise standards for backup, disaster recovery, observability, auditability, and incident response.
Cross‑Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the senior technical point of contact for development, IT, data, networking, and security teams.
- Drive architectural alignment across domains and guide engineering teams during planning, reviews, and delivery.
- Play an active leadership role in SCRUM/Agile ceremonies, influencing planning and prioritization.
- Communicate platform strategies, risks, and decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Complex Environment & Platform Operations
- Architect and govern multi‑environment strategies for dev/test/prod, ensuring stable, predictable releases.
- Establish standards for artifact repositories and package lifecycle management.
- Lead design and deployment of Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) and govern operational best practices.
Database & Application Stack Ownership
- Guide SQL database configuration, operations, DR strategy, and integrations.
- Oversee application stack mapping and infrastructure dependencies for operational clarity.
Architecture Documentation & Diagramming
- Produce high‑quality architecture diagrams, cloud topology maps, and network schematics for engineering and leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, automation frameworks, and platform services.
