Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of wines and spirits from around the world.
This role is responsible for curating, managing, and presenting an exceptional wine selection that complements our culinary offerings. With expertise in viticulture, service excellence, and guest engagement, the Sommelier ensures personalized recommendations, seamless service, and a memorable wine experience for every guest.
The successful candidate will have a wide knowledge of wines and spirits, with the ability to inform guests about different varieties and prices. They will ensure wines are served at the correct temperature and within the appropriate glassware, while also storing open bottles properly to maintain their flavor.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Sommelier will train wait staff on available wines, assist with monthly inventory checks, and conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service, and menu.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in English and Italian, have a degree or diploma in any discipline, and hold a minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a fine dining establishment. A Sommelier certification and computer knowledge are also highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Have a wide knowledge of wines and spirits from all over the world.
* Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices.
* Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware.
* Store open bottles properly to maintain strong taste.
* Train wait staff on available wines.
* Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all beverage items and operating equipment and supplies.
* Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on preparation, service and menu.
Requirements:
* Verbal and written proficiency in English and Italian.
* Degree/Diploma in any discipline.
* Minimum 1 year in a supervising role in a fine dining establishment.
* Sommelier Certification.
* Computer knowledge.
