We are looking for a DIRECT BUYER to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this position, you will combine day-to-day execution with strategic category management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a strategic approach for your categories, engaging closely with key internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring effective execution of daily purchasing activities and implementation of the category strategy.
- Monitoring market trends to identify opportunities and lead cost-saving initiatives from concept to roll-out.
- Sourcing, evaluating and qualifying new suppliers that meet Company standards for cost, quality, service and reliability.
- Negotiating and managing contracts and framework agreements independently.
- Supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain Office in identifying improvement opportunities and coordinating sourcing projects.
- Managing and optimizing the assigned budget while contributing to Total Cost Ownership improvements.
- Analyzing costs, performance and KPIs and recommending actions for improvement.
- Acting as a key point of contact and promoting collaboration across departments, especially Engineering, Sales and Warehouse.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A proactive, analytical and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You bring:
- A degree in Engineering or another STEM discipline.
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment and familiar with Lean principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured working approach.
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform cost analysis.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and Lean procurement methods.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- A team mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions.
- A continuous-improvement mindset and a strong desire to make a tangible impact.
- Fluency in English.
