Job Overview
The Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as financial risk management.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Managing all accounting operations including Billing, Account Receivable, Account Payable, General Ledger and Counsel.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements within finance and operations functions.
3. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and human resources, to ensure financial goals align with overall company objectives.
4. Conducting Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
5. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and reporting variances.
6. Preparing and publishing timely monthly management accounts.
7. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
8. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
9. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
10. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
11. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
12. Developing internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.
13. Collaborating with external auditors, banks, and other professional services, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
14. Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
15. Year-end financial statements.
Skills & Qualifications
16. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
17. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent) preferred.
18. Minimum 5 – 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller role.
19. Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
20. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
21. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
22. High attention to detail and accuracy.
23. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
24. Leadership and team management skills.
25. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
26. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
