For a leading company in the manufacturing of automation machinery, we are looking for a Project Manager who, starting from a role as a Material Planner, will gradually take on greater responsibilities by coordinating the procurement area.
The selected candidate will work closely with the purchasing department, logistics, and production planning teams to ensure optimal supply management and alignment with the company's production requirements.
Responsibilities :
* Coordinate and optimize material planning, supporting the purchasing department in supplier selection and in defining technical specifications for machinery.
* Manage and monitor the supply chain, ensuring timely availability of required materials and collaborating closely with the logistics team.
* Plan and control supplies, aiming to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
* Analyze supplier performance by tracking quality, cost, and delivery time.
* Collaborate with the production team to understand specific needs and contribute to procurement planning.
* Handle any issues within the supply chain and propose effective solutions to enhance its efficiency.
* Contribute to the development of company-wide procurement policies and strategies to maximize benefits in terms of cost and quality.
Requirements :
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in similar roles (e.g., Material Planner) within companies that manufacture complex machinery.
* Advanced knowledge of English (both written and spoken). A good command of German (at least B1) is considered a plus.
* Proven experience in supplier management and material planning within a production environment.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement techniques, and production planning dynamics.
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt and manage projects independently.
