This postdoctoral project will focus on:
measuring the level of job satisfaction in the main European countries;
focusing on the relationship between job satisfaction and some economic sectors
analyzing the impact of organizational and individual factors on workers’ satisfaction;
identifying emerging work meanings in the main European countries
The research will address the following three key questions:
1) Identify emerging work meanings in France, Spain, Germany and Italy across some economic sectors
2) The relationship between the emerging work meanings and job satisfaction in the four European countries
3) The most important individual and organisational factors that currently may improve job satisfaction according to the selected European countries and across the most relevant economic sectors
The project aims to:
advance knowledge in the scientific field;
introduce innovative theoretical and/or methodological perspectives;
strengthen interdisciplinary and international approaches;
contribute to addressing relevant scientific and societal challenges.
How will you carry out your work?
Methodologically, the project will adopt qualitative and quantitative research methods, above all sophisticated statistical processing, ensuring scientific rigor, originality, and a high level of ambition.
The selected fellow will be encouraged to progressively develop an independent research profile within this framework.

Prof. Rossella Di Federico has an active research profile in (human resource management, precarious work, industrial relations, Europen power èlite) with demonstrated expertise in methods / theories / approaches, and is strongly engaged in International and European research networks (McLuhan Institute of Toronto, University of Amsterdam – AIAS Amsterdam Institute specialised on labour and law, University of Porto Alegre).
The supervisor provides a stimulating and supportive environment, fostering scientific independence, excellence, and International/European exposure.
