WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a leader, you will: Lead, coach and develop the Product Quality & Recovery team, always keeping the customer at the centre. Work closely with colleagues across functions to ensure that product quality, safety, and recovery are everyone’s priority. Act as an ambassador for the customer product experience: monitor and report safety, compliance or quality issues in a timely way, preventing risks and improving standards. Enable the team to create a positive shopping experience by managing efficient circular recovery operations, reducing both environmental and financial impact. Ensure effective processes to block or stop the sales of IKEA products with safety or quality deviations, protecting our customers. Define clear goals and action plans for your department, and follow up with continuous improvement, learning from best practices in other units. Promote the use of common tools and methods to secure product quality, safety and recovery. Develop people: support team members’ growth and ensure succession planning. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE To be successful in this role, you will need: 2–3 years’ experience in a leadership role within retail or other customer-facing, high-volume environments. Strong understanding of customer behaviour, merchandising techniques, and how to create an attractive commercial offer. Knowledge of product quality, safety and recovery processes, with the ability to translate them into customer value. Analytical skills and ability to work with key sales KPIs and performance data. Experience with space management and sales location planning. Awareness of waste management, recycling and sustainability principles. Good knowledge of the IKEA product range (or the ability to quickly acquire it). Understanding of how product quality, safety and recovery workflows affect profit and loss. Business-minded and results-driven, with a strong customer focus. Passion for sustainability and circular business models (including second-hand solutions). Ability to communicate clearly in both Italian and English.
