POSITION SUMMARY :
The Tender Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of preparing, submitting, and following up on tenders and bids. This role ensures compliance with the company's guidelines and external requirements while maximizing opportunities to win new business and maintain existing contracts.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role.
- Recommends price changes based on company/customer relationship; recognizes new business opportunities.
- Determines validity of warranty claims.
- Interacts with customers, company sales and/or customer service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales service functions.
- Responds to customer inquiries to determine appropriate product literature and pricing schedules.
- Handles requests for additional company materials.
- Perform sales analyses and reports within the scope of the activity; includes the preparation of revenue analyses also with regard to specified file formats from the customers
- Maintains records of product pricing.
- Preparation and processing of offers and tenders in coordination with the sales management
- Structuring and/or administrating contractual documents that establishes business relationships with customers or government bodies.
- Supports sales team by developing and maintaining positive customer relations (CRM) with clients/customers, which can substantially affect service and/or product revenue(s).
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Minimum level of education/experience required.
- Proven experience in tender management, bid preparation or similar role
- Knowledge of tendering platforms and procurement processes
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Methodical and high attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast paced multicultural environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Familiarity with legal and financial aspects of contracts and tenders
