About the roleFor our dynamic growing, innovative Brands division within an already established big generic International pharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs field professional who dares to look outside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma MSL job and who wants to operate in an autonomous entrepreneurial way. This job offers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense by being engaged in all aspects of the business and manage your own daily work.You will join a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, and you will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and Execution of the Medical projects in but also provide Medical Affairs support to the Sales and Marketing colleagues of which a demonstrable affinity with seeing commercial opportunities is required. You live in Italy and are able to speak English because of the communication with the European Management team. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. The European Management team is located at different places in Europe and the European offices are in Amsterdam, Netherlands.Major tasks & responsibilitiesDevelopment Medical Affairs strategy and execution Medical scientific projects like scientific publications and advisory boardsIdentify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs, as well as other influencers and leaders of the scientific and healthcare community, utilizing scientific and medical evidence-based informationStrategically prepare and support the development, launch of products through scientific exchange in melanomaSupport Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patientsEnsure business support to Italian marketing/commercial/market access Odomzo (sonidegib) indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinomaLead the process to approval of investigator-initiated trials and monitor progressionEnsure the appropriate dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant and ethical mannerDevelop links with and support national, regional and local networks in Derma-oncology as well as in future potential TAsCommunicate the latest emerging data to identified experts, response to unsolicited healthcare professional inquiriesSupporting colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support to speakers.Education Qualifications (Graduate- Post Graduate)Mandatory – (bio) medical (scientific) academic degreeDriver’s licenseWork experienceMandatory - Minimum of 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industryAt least one year experience in a commercial function within the innovative pharmaceutical industryMandatory – Native Italian and Fluent in EnglishDesirable: Dermatology/Oncology experienceDesirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in ItalyTechnical skills/job specific competenciesGood scientific levelStrategic thinkingKnowledge Dermatology or oncologyKnowledge of regulatory environment and compliance.Good teaching and Presentation skillsFlexibility, patiencePositive creative mindset to challengesLikes to interact with HCPs and being in the field (vs desk)
