Software Test Engineer ( Web applications)
Workplace: TOPCON Facility Centre in Italy – Concordia sulla Secchia ( MO)
The job can be performed 100% remote ( Italy) with visit to our Concordia office ONCE a week
JOB PURPOSE:
* Software quality engineer for testing web applications and services.
* Developing automated tests using Python and Playwright.
* Analysis of test results.
* Tight cooperation with developers and PM (requirements clarification, use cases).
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including documenting test cases with test steps, expected results, and actual results.
* Analyze test results and report defects and bugs using a bug tracking tool, including detailed steps to reproduce the issue.
* Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, including load and stress testing.
* Provide feedback on software quality and make recommendations for improvements, including identifying and tracking software defects and issues.
* Inspecting the web browser console messages to understand and detect potential errors, follow network activity to understand if issues are on the frontend or backend.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the product requirements, user stories, and use cases, and provide feedback on the feasibility of the requirements.
* Create and maintain automated test scripts using a testing tool like Playwright.
* Maintain test data and test environments to support testing activities.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure code meets quality standards for automated tests.
* Participate actively to create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
Education, Skills, and Attributes:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation.
* Technical skills - automation testing and knowledge of testing tools: Jira, TestRail.
* Programming: Python, TypeScript, JS, HTML.
* General skills – Attention to detail, problem solving, analytical thinking, communication, and adaptability.
